Godot productivity vs Unity's productivity

discussion

I've been using Godot for 3 years and love the engine. Very intuitive with it's features. CharacterBody3D is a godsend when matched with Unity's CharacterController.

But my only problem with Godot compared to Unity is I feel much slower to implement new features and systems. And my project size acts as a scaler for that duration.

I feel that there's so many ways of implementing things, and the ideology that everything is a Node makes it so more time is spent on architectural design.

When I use Unity I feel like implementing new systems is a breeze as there's not many ways to do it. But instead I spend my time implementing mechanics, like spending 4 hours on a player controller that takes me 15 minutes in Godot.

Curious if anyone else has experienced this, and how did you get around it? Or maybe just skill issue lol
