So why the hostility between Zero Dawn and Far Zenith?

I am replaying Forbidden West and just finished the prologue at the Far Zenith facility. After watching the cutscene where Aloy finds the logic bomb from Travis Tate I was left wondering why the two organizations didn't work together more.

Obviously Far Zenith was fairly underhanded, they clearly killed and stole when they wanted to. But I am wondering why ZD was so unwilling to give them the GAIA copy/APOLLO. It gives humanity a second chance to live on, and as it is literally code it can just be copied as many times as they needed. It surprises me that Elisabet wouldn't have offered a copy in exchange for resources, both digital and physical like the ecogenesis pods they did get from FZ.
