Best Place to Buy Tomorrow
Today, I swung by Walmart on my home to check for Ascended Heroes. According to their employee, I missed the restock by less than an hour and everything was gone instantly. I’m devastated because I had planned on arriving when they opened at 6 AM tomorrow. I’ve never been able to buy Pokemon cards at MSRP so I took off work tomorrow to try and hunt down a Chikorita mini tin (one of my favorite Pokemon). What store should I make sure I’m at when they open for my best chances at getting something?
I love my local shops but they charge 2-3x MSRP and GameStop isn’t any better.
Target and Walmart seem like a waste of time because apparently the only people that know when they’ll be hitting the shelves are the scalpers.
I called my local Micro Center and they couldn’t tell me if they’ll even have anything.
CVS only has the 2-pack blisters and is open 24 hours so there’s no catching them at “open”.
I don’t have a membership to Sam’s or Costco.
Not sure what Barnes & Noble will have?
Right now, Best Buy is the only store I’m aware of that is holding their stock until open AND selling at MSRP. Is that my best bet?
I live in the suburbs of a major city. In January, when the 3-pack blisters dropped, I only managed to get two at $40 a pop. I’ve even caved and joined three different paid Discord groups to try and beat the soulless scalpers, but they’ve been completely useless.
