is it bad to generalise MAGA people into one group of being bad people ?
okay, so this is text to speech, so it might not be organised. yesterday in the town that I live in I was searching for jobs right? There’s a diner. They had a police lives matter sign in the back of their window. I said to my mom I’m not working there because she said that I should work at the diner and I said that I’m not working there because they probably support Trump and I would probably not feel safe there and I would probably be called the F slur tbh. my mom said that you cannot generalise people like that and not all of them are the same. I also sent a video to my friend saying I would not work there and then they defended the diner saying you cannot generalise people into that and they were actually really nice to me so my question is is it really wrong to generalise people who support Trump into one category?
in my opinion it does not matter how nice of a facade you put on for other people. It does not matter how nice you are to your neighbours. You are actively going against that niceness and participating in the evil that is happening in this country right now they only support Trump to benefit their beliefs . They don’t actually care about people and the consequences of their actions. They won’t care if their neighbour died because they had a miscarriage and couldn’t get an abortion. All they care about is that baby and they don’t even care if that baby ends up in foster care. they don’t care if that child doesn’t get an education. They don’t care if that child would have abusive parents also with the police lives matter it takes away from the actual issue. People are saying black lives matter because the police are actively committing police brutality against black people. And there are several instances of this and it goes all the way back in history too. They also don’t support immigration when America is built on immigration. America’s built on immigration from the gold rush to the colonies it was always about finding a better life in America. We are all on stolen land. We have all immigrated. We are a part of immigration. Everyone is no matter if someone came before you and your family or your parents immigrated. Or your siblings or even yourself. But they actually go against these ideals because they don’t benefit their beliefs. They actively partake and participate in the evil that is happening in this country right now. So why is it so bad to generalise these people?
sure, they may not be as hateful. They might not speak their opinions to you. They might not actively act upon violence against you but the only thing that’s stopping them is society. Society doesn’t even stop some of them. All of these crimes happen on the daily and constantly. And they support these crime crimes. They support their neighbours getting actively kidnapped in broad daylight. So why is it bad if I generalise these people who support evil into one category is not being good people? Because ultimately their morals are screwed up. and they do not care about people.
The only reason my friend got treated with such kindness by the way is because they appear as a straight white woman. They have the privilege of being white. They have the privilege of having a mom and a dad. They don’t have two moms they don’t have two dads . They have a mom and dad a brother and they’re all white. They’re also paying customers. So why wouldn’t you treat your paying customers with kindness because that’s how you earn your living at the restaurant? So is it really wrong to generalise these people into one category?
