UCR Bio -> USC Business/Econ Transfer
Hey,
I’m a first year at UCR studying biology but I’m making the switch to business/econ. I applied to USC for Business Administration (Marshall) first choice major and Econ (Dornsife) second choice major. I have a decent GPA (3.92), decent extra curriculars (although nothing insanely strong like a business focused internship). My story for my reasoning as to why I switched to this path is pretty compelling and my essays I think were good. Has anyone switched when applying for transfer and how big of a disadvantage does it give you. Also has anyone been admitted to USC for there second choice major? I know my chances at Marshall are slim given I’m currently in bio but if I get in for Econ that would still be better than what I have at UCR for my goals. For reference I’m still studying biology at UCR but trying to switch to pre business next quarter and update USC with my major change and planned classes. If not I’ll I have to stay bio take a chem and bio class and hopefully I can get some business classes. I would appreciate any insight and if it gives better context I’m willing to send my essays in DMs.
Thanks
