Like a Virgin chord progression

Discussion

According to the Wikipedia page for Madonna’s “Like a Virgin,” the song follows “a circular progression through all the seven diatonic chords of I–IV–vii–iii–vi–ii–V–I,” which is supported by a citation from a book called The Complete Guide to the Music of Madonna.

However, every chord website I can find shows the song as only having five chords (I, II, ii, V, and vi) and not following the aforementioned progression at all. Is this passage from Wikipedia (and presumably this published book) just utter bullshit?
