First commissioned piece!!! Any tips?

I've been hand embroidering for about a year now and am just now branching out to doing paid pieces. Do you guys have any recommendations specifically on how to work with clients on what they are looking for (like dainty lines vs thicker lines, sizing, etc.) as well as how to price the pieces? I don't want to disappoint potential clients and I also want to have clear boundaries. Thanks in advance!
