Is 5 past experiences too much for a resume?

I currently have four experiences on my resume but I woulk like to add a fifth one to show the skills I got from that job. I don't want my resume to seem crowded or like I change jobs often though. Also if I take an experience off it will look like a gap in my resume. What should I do about this?
