How to night wean breastfed baby

Trying to figure out how to start night weaning my 11 month old EBF baby. He will very rarely settle at night without a feed and will become extremely distressed / hysterical if we try anything else. Occasionally I can rock him to sleep but he won't settle for his dad at all and very rarely does for me without a nipple... Since starting solids hes been waking every 30 mins to an hour most nights and I am exhausted.

How do I go about trying to drop night feeds if he won't settle any other way?

During the day for his nap he will go to sleep easily without feeding
