A grade electrician/generator technician?

Can anybody please give some insight into taking the generator technician career path?

I’m currently an A grade electrician working in commercial maintenance and have an opportunity to work for a generator company and am curious to know what avenues this has the potential to open up for me mid-long term? What are some expected salary ranges as you become more experienced?

Works at this company would include commissioning, maintenance and servicing generators at the warehouse and out on client sites, as well as being on standby/on call for shutdowns/events etc.

Any insight or personal experiences would be awesome, thanks legends!
