With the Rockets' struggles with KD this season, is it safe to say that Jalen Green was overly scrutinized last year?

Green got a lot of flack last playoffs for playing poorly vs the Warriors. With the benefit of hindsight in play, is it ok now to say that his supporting cast last season wasn't as strong as previously thought? Houston thought replacing Green with KD would fix their scoring issues, but maybe there's more to their teams flaws?
