I know Netflix loves the messy drama (and sure, it’s entertaining), but can we talk about Vic for a second?

His students and former colleagues have been speaking out about what he’s like in real life, and it’s honestly refreshing. He’s a public policy professor who’s spent years focused on criminal justice and violence prevention, and the people who actually know him describe him as smart, calm, genuine, and solid. Multiple students have said he’s their favorite professor and that he’s exactly as kind and grounded off-camera as he appears on the show.

As for his relationship with Christine it just feels actually real and healthy (probably why Netflix was not as invested in them). Their conversations about raising biracial children weren’t surface-level or performative, they were thoughtful, nuanced, and vulnerable. You could see them actively trying to understand each other’s lived experiences and what that would mean for their future family. That’s the kind of depth I want from this show and that is the kind of depth that people who are ready for healthy relationships have.

If it’s true that production sent them off to CA instead of Cabo because they didn’t have enough chaos… that’s so lame. Not every compelling love story has to involve screaming matches and red flags. Some of us actually want to watch two emotionally intelligent adults build something healthy.

Also, sorry but Vic is easily THE most handsome and mature of the men this season, total eye candy and the maturity to match it. Christine is also stunning and seems incredibly sweet. They felt balanced. Grounded. Grown. This is EXACTLY what I watch this show for… the drama is just a fun bonus but I could totally do without.

I’m tired of Netflix centering the messy couples while sidelining the ones who actually look like they could make it long-term. This was the one couple I wanted to see the most.

Anyone else feel this way? Like come on... give me the good men, and then you can sprinkle in the drama. Versus the other way around LOL

ETA: For everyone jumping down my throat for the use of unpopular opinion, the reason I said this is in my group of friends (and several posts I have seen online) they are all the type that love the drama and messy couples. Therefore, it has been an unpopular opinion with everyone I have spoken to and I know many people prefer the chaos. If I could change it I would, dang lol.

Unpopular opinion: Vic is EXACTLY the kind of man I want to see on Love Is Blind
