Looking for anyone who’s experienced this or something similar. Solutions & comments VERY encouraged🙏

Title is pretty clear. I’ve been edging Uber Pro for YEARS now, because back in the day, I was VERY adamant about only using the service to get from place to place. I never recognized “acceptance rate” was a factor I should care about until too late. Even still, I’ve made it to Pro quite a few times. Always in advantage mode. Never hit the tier where they pay for college and give you a couple thousand off of EV tho.

My biggest gripe with ride share services as a marketing professional is their INSISTENCE on cornering people into full time workers. U don’t have to do HR, we’re contractors. You don’t have typical business issues that warrant that demand!! Ur JUST being conservative jerks and it’s NOT EVEN PROFITABLE 👏 NOW, the semi recent limiting of destination trips is INSANE. They limited it MORE, so it barely works for half the day. Like, THAT’S the attraction of Uber. Otherwise, (from experience), you can end up 2 states over, hours away from home and spend ur check getting back, DANGEROUSLY tired and exhausted.

Anyway, aside from missing Uber pro, much less platinum or whatever it’s called, this wasn’t a problem until recently they suggested a new algo that, with HIGHLY invasive levels of other surveillance, could lower your overall rating.

I’ve made necessary adjustments to my work habits, so I don’t know if the new algo is to blame for this sudden occurrence, but my rating has hovered between 4.6ish to 4.9 for YEARS. I’ve been doing Uber for like 7+ years on/off…

I was just told this morning in a message that my account was deactivated. There is no rationale. No triggering low rating. I hadn’t been notified of a low rating for a YEAR and it’s hard to tell where any of these low ratings are from. I’d thought maybe uber eats, cuz people were getting goofy stuff like tons of drinks, Ice cream, milk shakes, etc. (If u haven’t learned yet, DON’T do Uber eats) And, I’ve had a few folks be ungrateful TO MY FACE when I pull up. (May be the city of Philly, idk). But app says I got a 97% satisfaction there, so idk.

I’ll include everything I can in images, but I also learned/was reminded that we’re also supposed to get weekly reviews on these things. You’d think, with all the AI integration, this would be easy, but we don’t get that. Instead we get AI NOT helping us in a crisis…? Like, they really left me stranded on the highway in a storm when one of my windshield wipers just snapped off WITH CUSTOMERS IN THE CAR! I had to use my own triple A and didn’t clear up documentation to avoid account closure with Uber for a WEEK. Cuz they screwed up my account after that.

I’m just lost. This has come at one of the WORST times of financial stress for me.

The only gripe I’ve gotten in the last YEAR is in regard to a random smell in my car, that, because it’s not described, I can only imagine is “people smell”. There was only one or two days in the year, I’d noticed people left food in my car and got it out same day. I also carry febreeze. Just sometimes forget it at home in extreme temps cuz aerosol cans can explode. Otherwise, I have a cologne or something (alcohol based. Less volatile. Not compressed. Less likely to explode).

It could also just be petty nonsense which the app says they’re TRYING to mitigate , but only thru AI. And if you’ve dealt with uber support, u know that’s trash.

Something about Philly, the passengers you get can be some SERIOUS a-holes. It’s just rude, scammy, and ungrateful sometimes. Complain about a smell and THEY BE THE SMELL. Smelling like a whole pack a cigs and booty. *sprays febreeze* And, it’s in the BROKE areas. How you uppity AND broke? It DOESN’T MAKE SENSE👏 no tip AND u got an attitude!!??👀 could be these new 3rd party things too, cuz that’s been most of my trips lately. I’m just hitting on all variables rn. Had a woman try to scam me on a fake neck injury and I’ve been extra jaded since.

Adding insult to injury, looking online, the uber support site mentions keeping AMENITIES to avoid low ratings when they find a way to take nearly 1/3 our earnings for services they DON’T render. We’re supposed to get weekly commentary from these “bad reviews”. Literally ANYTHING under a 5. It’s Friday when they did this and I have ne’er ONE review from over a YEAR!!

Dropping someone with essentially a 4.7 with NO rationale aside from “low rating” is INSANE!!

(Also, I added the fare breakdown image to show how much they take. I worked very little that week, cuz my car was in the shop. I emphasize, my car was REPAIRED and documents RENEWED just before uber deactivated my account…)

Uber Deactivated My Account for 4.7 overall rating
