Need some shoe recommendations don’t know where to start

I am going to try and go to a store and try some on but I’m wondering what brands are a good place to start. Currently I do everything in leather tech combs dr martins but I need some dedicated shoes. What are some good beginner brands that are the best bang for buck?

Currently looking at keen and merrell or even teva, as I’d like them for general travel and maybe summer shoes
