Baby only feeds on yoga ball and drowsy

Feeding

So our 4.5-5 (21 weeks now) month old baby has been needing more and more movement to feed (now EFF) since he was about 11weeks old. After the 1st month he never really had more than 60-80mls at a time and would need to feed at least 14-15 times a day (so so difficult).

At 3 months, we were able to get his tongue tie removed and this helped with the efficiency and volume (could NOT latch so had to pump and bottle feed for the first 3 months. Was combo fed due to supply issues).

However it seems his need for movement was slightly getting better to now needing to be bounced on the yoga ball and be drowsy for every feed. Which is wild cuz instead of feed to sleep like many posts I read here, he’s more so sleep to feed dependant.

I asked chatgpt and apparently this happens in 20% of infants this age with tongue tie history, need for regulation, and rmild reflux)Especially as he now takes more volumes and is refluxy (now on enfamil thickened rice starch). However I rarely see any posts about it and wondering if this is happening or happened with ur LOs?

He’s developing really well and hitting milestones fast (could roll at 3 mths and is now rolling both ways and also wanting to sit up now.). He has excellent social interaction and great eye contact and smiling/giggling and some babbling but this extreme need for regulation makes me wonder about sensory differences and neurodiversity? Or am i just overthinking?

Anyways looking for similar experiences!
