Is it just me or has the weather been weird lately ?

Was like 60 degrees yesterday and now it's snowing. I moved here 2 years ago and I still can't figure out if I should keep a jacket in my car year round or what. My coworker who's lived here forever just laughed at me when I asked. Someone give me the rules please
