Modified Natural Cycle vs. Medicated FET
Hi all,
I just attempted a medicated cycle but it was cancelled. I started with estrogen patches my initial lining check showed thin lining so we added a vaginal estrogen tablet. My lining did thicken but was still thin 3 days later so we added an additional 3 days of medication. At my final lining check, it had barely grown but there was fluid in my uterus so the transfer was cancelled. The assumption is that the fluid was caused by the high level of estrogen (lab work showed my level was 903 that day).
My dr would like to try a modified natural cycle with letrozole and a trigger shot. I know that the final outcome is very similar to a medicated cycle and some studies even show it has slightly better results. Any information or experience with modified natural cycles is welcome!
I've tracked my ovulation in the past with OPKs and I've always had a hard time "finding" it so I don't think I ovulate like clockwork which is a concern of mine. I may also just suck at tracking it!!! Has anyone had success with a situation like this?
I've also heard modified natural cycles are more likely to be cancelled? If this is true and my medicated cycle was cancelled, this will super stress me out.
As an alternative, I'm wondering what another medicated cycle with a different form of estrogen would look like? Has anyone attempted this? I don't know if doing an immune protocol would make a difference here? Or even with the modified natural cycle?
Also to note - I have one day 5 euploid 3AA embryo and one untested day 7 5CC so I REALLY need to optimize this transfer.
