For my upcoming fan edit: "Rogue One: The Andor Cut", should I keep or remove Cassian's line "I've been in this fight since I was 6 years old"?

Question

Some of you may be eagerly awaiting my upcoming fan edit of 'Rogue One', which seeks to reimagine the film with 'Andor' in mind, using music from the series, and bringing the tone and pacing more in line with the show.

I am not necessarily going to decide one way or the other based on this particular poll, but I am curious what the split is on how people feel about this line in 'Rogue One', after watching 'Andor'. Some people say the Andor series makes this line hit even harder, while others say it makes it not make sense. I see reasons for both.

Is this referring to when Marva picked him up from Kenari? He appears older than 6. Is it referring to something earlier that we do not see? Then is that really the same "this fight", that he's referencing directly following speaking about "The Rebellion" proper? The line delivery is a great bit of acting, but is he a bit over-emotional towards Jyn in this moment, given everything we've seen in the series?

Where I'm at right now, regardless of if the "6 years old" line makes sense canonically or not, the following line "You're not the only one who lost everything", seems to change its meaning when I watch the edit with the line in or out. With it in, it seems to imply that he lost everything when he was 6 years old, and has been fighting to avenge whatever he lost all this time. With it out, it makes it more seem like he has lost everything constantly, consistently, throughout his life, and including recently. This definitely plays into 'Andor', with him losing someone close to him practically every arc. To me, THAT line hits harder with "6 years old" line removed, after watching 'Andor'.

Please let me know your thoughts!
