Games Workshop stores are no longer true hobby spaces. Are there any stores in London that capture the way they used to run the stores in the early 2000s?

I started playing 40k in 2000 with 3rd edition. It didn't take long for my local Games Workshop store to become my second home. I would spend my entire summer holiday there hanging out painting and gaming. Every weekend I'd be there for at least one full day.

Now I'm older and want to pick the game up again but I realise a big part of what made me love 40k was that environment. My local Warhammer store is Tottenham Court Road and to be honest it's totally rubbish. It feels completely soulless compared to the hobby shops of my youth.

Are there any games stores in London that offer space to paint, play pickup games and socialise with other hobbyists like the good old days?
