Star Wars Complaining Thread

The entire story of the Star Wars saga was in my opinion about the redemption of Anakin Skywalker and him bringing balance to the force with his son Luke. The fact that they brought fucking Palpatine back completely destroyed that. Just entirely.

I liked episode VII personally, it was an extremely safe movie yeah but I think it set some cool stuff up. We get to maybe see what being a stormtrooper was like, Kylo Ren seemed like a very interesting character, Finn being force sensitive. I even think episode 8 was while maybe not the greatest watch I think it tried to do stuff differently than the last movies. Except for Carrie Fisher flying that had me jump out of my seat it was so fucking stupid.

But episode 9? I genuinely have no recollection of the plot of that movie besides palpatine comes back at the end. And I think Kylo ren dies. Also the space ship warp speed drifting or whatever the fuck shit was so god damn stupid.

But honestly? My biggest gripe? We never got a good lightsaber v lightsaber fight in this whole series. Seeing an old ass Luke fight Kylo Ren or just SOMETHING. Duel of the Fates was so badass, the prequels were incredible for the lightsaber fights, but even the OG movies were dope because of the pacing and sets. The sequels had none of that shit.
