🧙‍♂️ Magick Models: Prof. Patrick Dunn's "Aesthetic Satisfaction" {"Engagement"?} instead of Gnosis?

I recall a couple Decades+ ago when Prof. Patrick Dunn left Zeelist due to saintstephen's continued harassment - not unCommon at all in Zeelist (How I Miss the Wild West days of the early Internets! RIP) - and Prof. Dunn informed me he was Working on getting his Book on Magick published by the most Desired Publisher at the time, Llewellyn. Apparently it's become quite the PostModern Classic on Magick. After having Read thru it last year, I think that Place is Well Earned. I mean, he Presented the Newest thing I've Seen/Heard about re: Magick in at least a Decade, and that's saying something.

The HUGE InSight he presents therein is that the Key to Magick isn't "Gnosis" or an ASC/Altered State of Consciousness, but more Simply what he Terms "Aesthetic Satisfaction".

I discussed this at length last year after someone asked about it in my randomly deleted og reddit Acct. (as shown by the "Deleted" Comment" in said Post from someone else), but that's the tl;dr.

I will say that I've long beLIEved that often times - NOT UNIVERSALLY - "Stacking Correspondences" (e.g., going hog wild in 777) can Greatly Increase Magickal Rite Efficacy. Aesthetic SatisFactIon would XPlain this quite nicely. I then came up with a Term that I thought even Simplified this Aesthetic Satisfaction more, but IDR WTF it was... "Engagement" is the only Word that's coming to Mind currently, but IDR if that was my lost Epiphany from my og Deleted Post or not, but IIRC I had further Boiled Down Prof. Dunn's Aesthetic Satisfaction to Simple "inGagement"...

As we discussed a Day or 3 ago with my Post re: the 4 "New Magick Models", IDK if this is its "own separate" Magick Model", or if it's simply a cross betwixt the PsychoLogical & Informational Models, which was my og thinking. Looking at the 4 Xtra Magick Models from that Post on Magick Models, it seems like Aesthetic Satisfaction could fall under the 8th Mythic/Narrative Magick Model, or perhaps the 5th Astral/Subtle Planes Model. I'm not sure TBH...

What do you think about Aesthetic Satisfaction as subbing in for Gnosis for the thing that "Fires" a Sigil? Do you think Aesthetic Satisfaction is both Necessary & Sufficient - to use Formal Logical Terms - for Magick to have an IRL Effect? Where do you think Aesthetic Satisfaction falls in the 8+ Magick Models? Do you think Simple "inGagement" would Work for Magick?
