Birth record 1881 Standesamt Gerolzhofen
I contacted the Standesamt Gerolzhofen in November 2025 via email and mail to request a birth certificate for my great grandfather, born 1881 in Schallfeld.
When I sent the request I wasn’t sure if his birth year was 1880 or 1881 due to conflicting records, but have been able to confirm 1881 through his German baptismal record.
The Standesamt Gerolzhofen email auto reply says the genealogy research takes 6 months but that normal processing and shipping is 4 weeks. It’s been 3 months, and I’m not sure this is genealogy research? Email says does to inquire while processing.
What are my options at this point to get his birth record?
