Break instead of breakup
My (29F) partner asked for separation from me (31M) after 4 years. She loves me so deeply but feels like she jumped into the relationship without figuring out what she wants. It’s been a process going on since a few days before Christmas. We still live together and are cordial. Can still have some good times together. We talk about things sometimes and she is so firm in this belief that she has to go but also says things like “this is hard because you haven’t done anything wrong like my exes. (One cheated, one was toxic and abused substances) every fiber in my being is telling me to stay because it’s comfortable, but my intuition is telling me to go” I’m not trying to force her to stay. I want to give her space, and I’m planning on moving out soon. But she’s acting so final about it without considering just taking a break and pausing things for a bit. I haven’t begged or pleaded. but communicated that I believe in this relationship. I really just want it to be a break for a few months. Any advice?
TL;DR Partner asked for space because she doesn’t know what she wants, but loves me and is going against everything in her telling her to stay. No abuse. No cheating. No toxicity. I just want to convince her it’s okay to pause things without it being so final.
