When macro uncertainty drops, the first move is usually broad. Indexes pop. Russell 2000 catches a bid.

The second move is more selective.

Capital starts looking for small companies tied to real-world buildout, not just story stocks. That is where distributed energy and grid-adjacent names come into play.

If tariffs are struck down, imported components become cheaper. Batteries, inverters, switchgear, electronics. For small infrastructure deployers, that directly improves project math.

Companies like NextNRG, Inc. operate in that zone. Microgrids are capital intensive. Small shifts in hardware cost can materially improve returns on contracted deployments. If project IRRs improve and financing conditions stabilize, scaling becomes easier.

Then you have adjacent small-cap names like Blink Charging. EV charging networks depend on hardware imports and infrastructure rollout. Lower input friction improves margins and expansion potential.

On the battery side, Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. represents a domestic storage angle with high beta to project deployment cycles. If grid spending accelerates under cleaner trade conditions, sentiment improves quickly.

Even optimization-layer players like Stem, Inc. benefit indirectly. More viable storage projects mean more assets under management, which feeds recurring optimization revenue.

Here is the bigger picture.

Large caps respond to earnings revisions.

Small caps respond to shifts in survival probability.

If tariff removal reduces cost pressure, lowers macro risk, and improves financing access, many small infrastructure names move before fundamentals fully reflect the change.

My take: this is not about one stock. It is about a theme. Distributed infrastructure, grid resilience, and electrification are multi-year trends. If macro friction decreases, the smaller players in those lanes could see disproportionate upside.

And those moves usually start quietly, before they become consensus.
