Does the seal of confession extend to subsequent confessions with the same penitent?

In some saint's works I've read they have had regular confessions with the same confessor and have received advice when dealing with repeated sin. Does this count as breaking the seal of confession or is the prohibition only with outside people not in the confessional? Basically, if a friend or familar person regularly goes to you for confession, do you need to treat that session as a blank slate or can you draw from previous confessions?
