Paranoid episode after smoking too much weed with 0 tolerance.

Hey there, I wanted to share this here with the hope that someone else has shared a similar experience and can maybe give me some insight or just show me that I'm not alone in what happened 😅

I am 27 years old and I hadn't smoked cannabis for around 5 years. Last night I decided, for whatever reason, after 5 years of not smoking it, that i would smoke around a 0.8 of 28% THC weed in a joint (no tobacco). This was a massive oversight on my part, I have ADHD and with that comes impulsivity and just generally not thinking properly about things before I do them.

After smoking not even half of it, I got very confused, couldn't think clearly at all, was very paranoid and believed things were happening when they were not, my partner said I was speaking to her and not making much sense and was asking lots of paranoid questions.

My heart was racing and I was having a panic attack, I believed I was going to have heart failure, I genuinely believed id died for a while and nothing was real. It was like I was there but not controlling my own body or thoughts or speech.

After coming down from the high a little I kinda of just snapped back into myself and reality, like really quickly I felt the change happen, stopped being paranoid, heart slowed, stopped panicking and basically remembered everything that happened and at the same time had this crazy realisation that I live every day being anxious and worried about things but have just masked it and kind of become numb to it and that this is making my life objectively worse.

Nothing like this has every happened to me before, even whilst I smoked weed every day for years.

It was a really scary situation and I seriously believed I was gonna lose my life or my mind at the time which just made the panic worse.

Today I feel better and for some reason have been more present, if a little tired. Also for some reason I feel I am thinking more clearly after what happened like it was a point of clarity for me which is so weird.

Has anyone experienced similar?
