I've been doing this for less than a year and I like to experiment little by little with different brands, so here's what I've done:

Coming from my first RC car, a Traxxas Rustler VXL 4x4, then a Slash VXL 4x4, an Arrma Kraton V2 6S, and an Arrma Senton 6S BLX. The latter has an Arrma Typhoon suspension swap (arms, forks, axles) and Katar Belted tires from an Arrma Talion 6S.

So, due to space constraints and before the Kraton Mini came out, I decided to get a Jiusi PTR14. After doing some research and buying parts to experiment with, I noticed it's an identical clone of a ZD Racing MT16. Even the parts I bought have the same part numbers in the manual for that car as in the ZD Racing manual. So I can say I highly recommend this little rocket among the upgrades I would make to my car. From my point of view, it would be either a Mamba Micro X2 ESC or a Hobbywing 10BL60 ESC. Honestly, I'd leave the rest as is until it starts to break. Even the ESC, since it comes with a fan and the motor has a heatsink, runs very well at 3s with its original pinion gear. It's worth mentioning that it comes with an option for a larger pinion gear for higher speed, but for now, I want to experience the car as it comes out of the box. I think it's a good option.

I'll make another post talking about crawlers, which is what I'm most involved in. Here's a picture of the Jiusi PTR14.
