Sticky Keys-like effect while setting is disabled

SOFTWARE

Hi, if anyone might be able to assist with this problem, I’ve done some googling and found very little in regard to it that doesn’t just recommend turning off sticky keys.

In certain games, mostly noticed in binding of Isaac and arc raiders, when using wasd my computer would make the noise similar to plugging something in, and then my movement would lock up as if I had used sticky keys on an input.

I was able to isolate this further in some games. In binding of Isaac, where pressing ASD and the bottom 3 arrow keys will consistently reproduce the effect and cause certain inputs to be continuously repeated. As if I was holding down the A key and left arrow, or just holding right. It’s not always the same input that becomes locked but the effect can be reproduced like that.

It also doesn’t occur outside of such games, trying to recreate it in a document, or clicking off onto one does not input the key as if it’s being held down. Also, clicking off of the game will stop the effect too.

Oddly, it also causes my lights where numlock, scroll lock, and caps lock, to flash.

I don’t believe it’s my keyboard, as I didn’t have this problem with it before. I have flipped off all the keyboard accessibility settings too. And unplugging my controller didn’t change anything. Perhaps it has something to do with a recent update or a now out of date driver?

Any help would be appreciated as this has been frustrating and confounding me.

My current OS build is: 26100.7623

Keyboard is an Adesso AKB-132UY (I haven’t experimented with other keyboards yet because I don’t have a spare right now)
