My chain snapped, should i still trust it?

I run waxed chains, i cycle a few chains on my cassette, i can afford to throw it away. I do not enjoy waste or unnecessary retirement of equipment. (I'll re use a quick link 4-5 times if it behaves) (I carry 2 brands new ones with each bike)

Last night my chain snapped. The outer links decided they didn't care for the pins holding them together and went their seperate ways. I pushed out the pins and popped a quick link in and rode home. This morning i ran a 10 mile erand with weighty panniers. No drama

The chain has barely any wear; its not even at 0.25 on my chain wear tool. It seems a waste to condemn it.

I don't think i was shifting badly or doing anything to encourage failure, i had a pair of wheels on my rack so i was cycling quite gingerly because i had a wide profile.

The break wasn't near the joining point on the chain.

I imagine that any replies will be 'at your own risk' if i continue. If this was single speed or =<8 speed id probably replace/rejoin serveral links around the break and carry on regardless, but this is 12 speed and above my pay grade.

Can i carry on with 2x quick links or should i bin it off? Thanks
