High variance but max ev play while shot taking?

Yesterday I played some Omaha and had a weird spot against a whale on tilt. Normally I play Hold’em, and the Omaha game was higher than my usual stakes.

I bought in for 200bb and ran it up to around 1200bb.

One whale was donating a lot and started potting and repotting blind preflop. In this hand, he had around 700bb.

There was a UTG straddle. We opened to 8bb, got a few callers, and the whale potted it from the SB to 60bb. He was clearly playing blind and announced that he would put it in if I repotted — and I’m sure he would.

I had AKT8 double-suited.

If I just call, we go multi-way out of position with a decent hand, which is fine. But the whale will check his hand after the flop and most likely check/fold if he has nothing in a multi-way pot.

What’s my line here?
