Hunter PET Management

Hey guys,

I leveled as hunter mostly in dungeon and saw my pet way to much dying now for example in SV when the mobs are cleaving. What can I do to prevent from this? Some guy told me to send pet in (with /petattack) and call it back (is it /petfollow?) with Makro, are there any other useful stuff you could tell?
