Thoughts on the new Yas Island launch?

Discussion & Analysis📚

As a football fan this one’s quite exciting to me, i am not a fan of the Damac Chelsea residences but this project has me hopeful for football partnerships as I think the idea has potential.

Ohana is bringing a completely new residential concept to Abu Dhabi, with waterfront apartments, 4-bed townhouses, and 4–5 bed villas designed in a modern, premium architectural style that stands apart from anything currently on the market.

The master plan is built around a huge central green spine, with no back-to-back units, creating privacy, openness, and real community flow. The project is located directly across the canal from Yas Island, close to Formula One and major attractions, yet positioned far enough to avoid tourist congestion.

This is one of the closest residential hubs to Yas:

Around 20 minutes to Saadiyat and central Abu Dhabi

Approximately 60 minutes to Dubai

What’s interesting to me is the partnership with Manchester City. This is not a naming-rights deal. The club is owned by UAE leadership, and the facilities must meet elite professional standards.

Residents will have access to:

Manchester City Training Academy with air-conditioned football pitch

Second full-size training field within the community

Marina Sports Club with oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, infrared suites

Altitude, heat, and recovery training rooms

Fully sensor-equipped fitness and wellness facilities

All of this is woven through the green spine and waterfront promenade.

Additional features include:

4- and 5-star hotels

Canal-front retail and lounges

Infinity pool and marina lifestyle

Fully walkable access to Yas Island

Payment Plan

5% on booking

45% during construction

50% on handover (mortgageable)

Starting Prices

1-bedroom canal apartments from AED 2M

4-bed townhouses from ~AED 4.75M

4-bed villas from AED 7M
