Pirelli weatheractive drop in breaking really that bad?

I still don't need tires but wanted an alternative to the Michelin CC2 and was thinking about the Pirelli weatheractive.

Discount tire has a Star on breaking when worn that is almost 70 ft longer than when new. For comparison the cc2 had less than 20 ft.

Trying to match to a Mazda CX 90 tspp, looking at Vredestein Quatrac pro plus as well.
