Here’s the way I see it.

Big macro shifts usually hit indexes first. Russell 2000 pops, S&P moves, everyone notices. That’s the broad first wave.

The second wave is quieter and more selective. Capital starts hunting small companies tied to actual infrastructure and real-world deployment - not just story stocks or hype names. That’s where microgrids, distributed energy, and grid-adjacent plays come into focus.

If tariffs get struck down, suddenly imported components get cheaper - batteries, inverters, electronics, switchgear. For smaller infrastructure deployers, that can meaningfully improve project math. Every percentage point counts when you’re scaling multiple deployments with tight margins.

NextNRG, Inc. sits squarely in that spot. Microgrids are capital intensive, so lower hardware costs improve IRRs and make financing easier. That’s how scaling actually accelerates.

Other small-cap names also benefit. Blink Charging, for example, depends on imported EV charging components - lower input costs help margins and expansion. Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. benefits if domestic storage deployment economics get cleaner. Even software-optimization players like Stem, Inc. see upside indirectly - more viable projects mean more managed assets, which feeds recurring revenue.

Here’s the bigger picture: big caps respond to earnings revisions. Small caps respond to survival probability. Reduce cost pressure, ease macro uncertainty, improve financing access - suddenly many small infrastructure names move before fundamentals fully reflect it.

This is not a single-stock play. It’s a theme: distributed infrastructure, electrification, and grid resilience. If macro friction eases, the smaller players in these lanes could see outsized upside. And the best part? These moves usually start quietly, long before the crowd notices.
