Two pit bull in joint attack resulted in the death of a six-month-old puppy on Friday afternoon (13th), on Cândido Garcia de Lima Avenue, in the Nova Lima neighborhood of Campo Grande. The incident was captured by security cameras, and the footage shows the moment the animals invaded the residence to attack the puppy.

According to the footage, the owner was opening the gate to receive a delivery when her own dog ran out to the street. She called the animal back, saying, "Go to your little house, boy," and the dog returned inside. Seconds later, two pit bulls rushed through the open gate and began the attack.

The woman screamed for her husband, who ran out to find the two dogs already latched onto the puppy. The images show the pit bulls biting and dragging the animal while the owners tried to intervene, screaming. At one point, a man in a blue jacket appeared holding a stick. Despite this, the dogs continued the attack and dragged the puppy out of the house.

Outraged, the husband kicked the gate and shouted for his wife to call the police. According to reports, a child was also inside the residence and remained behind closed doors while the situation unfolded outside.

The footage also shows the alleged owner of the pit bulls, reportedly from a neighboring house, arriving at the scene and attempting to restrain the animals. He managed to pull them away and struggled to make them release the puppy. After gaining control of the dogs, he left the scene by car before the Military Police arrived.

The Military Police went to the address of the pit bulls' owner, but according to reports, the footage that could have recorded his flight had been deleted. The puppy's owners were advised to file a police report at the station to formalize the complaint.

The case will be investigated by authorities to determine responsibility regarding the guarding of the animals and the circumstances of the invasion and attack.
