how to cover up toenail and fingernail changes ?
Seems like every girl is getting their nails done now but I cannot justify spending that money at a salon regularly. I was prepping my nails to do at home and noticed weird, deep horizontal ridges on all of my toenails, looked it up and I for sure have Beau's Lines. Apparently it's from cessation of keratin from malnutrition. I'm NOT SEEKING ANY MEDICAL ADVICE, but aesthetically how tf do I cover these up??? I tried just painting over them and it looks like shit, like you can definitely see the texture changes from a distance. I don't want to field any questions from other people about these and they are noticeable.
They're much less apparent on my fingernails but I can feel the ridges on them and in particular my thumbs. I'm assuming they're worse on my toenails since those nails grow slower and are thicker nails. I think I've been getting them on my toenails for a while to be honest but thought it was overgrown cuticle or something, I don't know. I really don't like the way any feet look in general and usually wear socks all the time.
I noticed vertical lines on my fingernails for the first time too when I was taking a bunch of pictures in different lighting and with flash on and off. Again, I DO NOT WANT MEDICAL ADVICE. Clearly I need to address vitamin deficiencies and will handle those off Reddit with an actual medical care team. But aesthetically, is there anything I can do to improve the looks of these quickly?
