my review of jun's new movie: blades of guardians

Analysis

hello friends! since i watched this movie with my boyfriend for chinese new year, i thought i'd share my thoughts for any fellow carats considering watching it!

the plot: what plot? lol no but seriously this is a fighting movie. there is very little plot involved. if that's what you're into, great! if not, be warned that there is a lot of gore. i closed my eyes for most of it ngl and even my boyfriend was making uncomfortable faces for some of the scenes. it was kinda intense.

jun: jun has a very minor role in this movie, he's like a soldier for one of the bad guys. he has a total of one scene in which he does have a few lines of dialogue and a rather short fight scene. if you're faint-hearted, i should warn you >!decapitated heads are involved!< but otherwise his fight scene is watchable. and he does look very cool. i liked his ponytail.

i hate to be negative, but i do have to say that both myself and my boyfriend were not fans of the movie, i personally was disappointed in the lack of jun moments and also uh the lack of plot. overall, unless you're very desperate for jun crumbs, i can't really recommend it. although if you haven't yet watched his other movie (the shadow's edge) that came out in august, that one was amazing and gave us so many jun crumbs.
