Really bad flare up

I recently caught a cold and my eczema has flared up SO BADLY. I’m not sleeping, I’m trying everything I can to bring down the inflammation. I’ve even resorted to calamine lotion which I know is not recommended for eczema but it has been soothing the itching. Does anyone else flare up badly when they are sick? I’m due to start methotrexate soon and I just can’t wait for this cold to pass. I pray that it gets better.
