Beginner inkwell question

My wife is a huge Disney fan and we've played a few tcgs. Thought we'd give lorcana a try. Is there a way to get cards out of the inkwell? Like if i ink a card and put it in the inkwell, is that card essentially just ink for the rest of the game, or at one point could i pull it and pay the ink cost to play it? If i cant, then do you essentially have cards in your deck that you never plan to use besides for ink?
