Male HSP who find its hard to cry/ let it all out

I think from childhood I trained myself not cry in order to not face ridicule and shame in front of others, especially my peers. In fact the first time I ever cried in my adulthood years happened just a couple of years of go when I consoled in someone about how I was really feeling for the 1st time, and I completely bawled my eyes out.

In many ways it felt really good, as if years of suppressed emotion and feeling which I only kept inwards could finally be released and expressed outwards

I get very emotional at things but still stop myself from crying from habit. It would be nice to able to shed a tear every once in a while.

Does anyone else have similar experiences?
