Am I silly for buying duplicate calibers?

I shoot a 6.5CM. My wife would like to try hunting with me next year and I’m thinking I’ll just get another 6.5CM for her and keep things simple. I’m happy with the 6.5, but am I silly for not getting a different caliber to expand our caliber range? These would be the only two rifles we plan to have for the time being. As a whole I’m not a fan of long action cartridges.

6.5 is a versatile and friendly caliber for a beginner. We hunt deer/Elk.

.243 would be my first choice for her if we were strictly deer hunters and I don’t want to go smaller than 6.5cm for elk.

I used to hunt elk with a .243 so I know they’re capable but shot placement is more important for sure.

Should I go with my gut and get another 6.5 for her to use, or should I get a .243/.308 instead?

Thanks
