Do I have a plausible case? I am extremely worried about this
Facts regarding my case:
•I turned in my FMLA paperwork Tuesday February 3rd and heard back from HR on Tuesday February 10th. I have been off of work due to medical reasons, with the discretion of my neurologist, since 1/20/2026.
• After initially denying my FMLA leave on February 10th (via phone call at 10:40 am). HR sent an email that evening admitting they "miscalculated" my hours and that I am, in fact, eligible. Before sending the approval email HR also sent an email informing me why I was not eligible, after I had requested written documentation of why I was denied leave. (which did not correlate with what they told me over the phone the morning of February 10th)
• Prior to this admission, the company called me threatening to terminate my employment if I did not return to work by March 2nd, despite my neurologist not clearing me to drive or return to work, per the FMLA documentation.
•In the approval email they did not state when FMLA starts or ends in my case.
• I also have documented text messages from coworkers stating that other coworkers are undermining my medical issues and suggesting I "should not come back." After my FMLA leave is over. This does not include the immense amount of other comments she has made to me: (you are not doing enough case management in 4 days. These people are dying because of you)…I work on a crisis unit…I cannot get people housing, ID, etc in 4 days.
