Getting Physically Sick from my MDD
I had really bad MDD as a child from abt age 12-18. I was living in an ab*sive household and I would do it for hours every day to escape.
When I moved away to college, however, it almost completely stopped. By that I mean I never thought about the specific world I had created in my head that I felt was my new reality, but sometimes I would daydream like a normal person.
In January (I’m 22 now) I had to leave my job and being unemployed has brought me into SEVERE MDD. I can’t watch a show without losing attention and doing it. I stay up for hours when I’m supposed to be sleeping doing it. A half hour ago I was running down the street to an appointment I was late for and STILL DOING IT! I said to myself “Stop!! This is crazy!!”
My appointment is because I’ve been experiencing EXTREME nausea. So sick every day. However, I’ve been noticing it gets extra bad when I’m daydreaming. It’s kind of present all day but it is awful when I’m daydreaming.
I also had severe unmediated anxiety before I turned 18 that would make me vomit. Now I’m wondering if it’s coming back along with the MDD…
I have a therapist and a psychiatrist and I’ve never told anyone abt this but I think I might have to atp. But just venting in case anyone else has experienced this/can chat abt similar experiences.
I’m hoping when I get a job it gets better, but I feel like an addict I can’t imagine the thought of losing my world again even though ik it’s killing me.
