Are users using bots to farm karma? Is there way to tell?

Hey everyone, new to Reddit and have some quick questions. I’ve seen some profiles with crazy karma counts but no achievements and relatively young accounts. Is this the best way to spot bots on Reddit? Most communities I’m trying to post in have a requirement of having 10 karma is that low or high?
