Former Maryland Gov. [Larry Hogan ](https://thehill.com/people/larry-hogan/)(R) on Thursday said local police will “ignore” a new law signed by Gov. [Wes Moore ](https://thehill.com/people/wes-moore/)(D) that prevents them from working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“Yesterday in my state they just passed a bill, Gov. Moore signed an emergency bill to prohibit local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE. And, you know, all the local law enforcement officers are saying, ‘We’re going to ignore that because we’re required to work with them,’” Hogan said during remarks at Politico Live’s “Governors Summit.”

and can't forget this charmer from Harford County.

“I’m pretty appalled that the first policy issue that the Democrats are excited about is allowing illegal criminals who are actually hurting, raping, murdering people in our state…” said Del. Lauren Arikan (R-Harford), whose county has the second-longest-running 287(g) agreement in the state. “I think it’s pretty disgusting that this is what the Democrats are focusing on when people can’t even pay their electric bills right now.”
