Why do people react differently to meth vs cocaine? Why is it seen differently?
I saw a TikTok today that got me thinking. It was about a woman who had been addicted to drugs for a long time but is clean now. In the video she shared a short story from when she was still using. She said that one night at a club she went into the bathroom and saw a bunch of people doing cocaine so she figured she'd do meth. But when everyone realized she was doing meth they all left the bathroom except her. That made me curious, what are the social differences between meth and cocaine? Why would people be okay with cocaine but not meth? I tried looking through the comments and searching online but couldn’t really find an explanation. I know addiction is addiction so I’m wondering why there seems to be this kind of distinction socially. Has anyone else noticed this or can explain it?
