The impossible happened plant regenerated

Hi there. Something unbelievable has just occurred. My mint plant has overcome what usually destroys most plants in a garden. Fungal infection. The mint slowed down in growth and I was a bit concerned, but then I noticed something unusual. The fungus was actually going away and the stem of my plant is actually repairing the damage caused by the fungus. I know mint can be regenerative but this goes beyond what I normally see in most plants. I am hoping to cross pollinate it in hopes that I pass on the the gene responsible for this. I think it is called fungal disease resistance. I am overjoyed by what I am seeing. Something I also notice about this mint is that the mint scent is particularly strong. Obviously the scent is a defense mechanism for mint in response to damage. My best guess of why the mint is recovering so well is because I am watering it deeply but infrequently. Making sure that the soil dries out sufficiently between watering. Also, I have my strong growlight very close to the plants. About 2 inches above the plants. More light equals more energy. Also, I am blowing a fan on it which helps circulate the air which inhibits fungus growth. The mints seem to handle the fan blowing on them more than I imagined. I thought too much air is bad, but it seems mint doesn't mind it. As to why I have my growlight so close to my plants it is because It seems to work against fungus. Fungus does not seem to like bright light very much.
