Desperate for help, lost/ stolen digital camera in Cancun Airport Terminal 2/3

Hi everyone. I know this is a long shot but I lost my digital camera in Cancun. I think I lost it on February 18th around 5pm, as this is when I arrived at the airport.

TLDR: I lost (or maybe had stolen) my digital camera in Cancún on Feb 18 after taking a shuttle and then a taxi between airport terminals. I briefly left my bags in the taxi, later realized my camera was gone, and the same driver had my AirPods and made us tip him to get them back. Resort doesn’t have it, it wasn’t in my checked bag, and I can’t get through to airport lost & found. Looking for any way to contact Cancun airport or taxi drivers — willing to pay to get it back.

I last remember having it in my room at the resort, but then I took a shuttle from the resort to the airport, I contacted them and they said they don’t have it. Then when I went to the airport, the shuttle accidentally dropped us off at terminal 2 instead of 3, so we had to take a taxi to terminal 3 and I had to go get money from the ATM, and I left my bags in the taxi while I did that. Then we paid the taxi, they took us to terminal 3 and when I was going thru security that’s when I noticed my camera was gone. I went thru my whole bag and it was no where to be found, then I go a notification on my phone saying that I had left my AirPods behind at terminal 2. So my boyfriend took ANOTHER taxi to that terminal, and the OG taxi driver had the my AirPods, and made my boyfriend give him a tip to get them back. At this time I was more stressed abt my AirPods than my camera bc I had to go on this long flight, plus I was like maybe I packed my camera in my checked bag. We also called the resort and asked them to check our room and they said they don’t have it. Then I had a connection to Mexico City, and I checked my checked bag and it was no where to be found. And now I’m home and again, I don’t think it ever made it out of Cancun. The last people left to contact is the Cancun airport but whenever I try to call them it’s all in Spanish and I can’t understand anything to get to lost and found. And also, do u think there’s any way for me to contact the taxi drivers at the airport?? I would literally pay them whatever they want I just want my camera back 🥺🥺

I’m just unsure if I lost it, or if it was stolen. I was talking to my friend from Mexico City and she said that it’s very likely the taxi driver took BOTH the AirPods and the camera from my backpack when both me and my boyfriend left the taxi. What I don’t understand, is why they would take my AirPods and camera, and NOT my MacBook which was also in my bag, and then when my bf went back to get my AirPods, why wouldn’t they leverage the camera to try and get a bigger tip??

If anyone has ANY ideas or connections to the Cancun taxi or airport, please let me know. I would be willing to compensate for any sort of help.
