shadowban but something odd happened

so a few months ago i got shadowbanned. it was really upsetting because i had just discovered tumblr and was really enjoying the community, and i had no idea what i had done wrong.

i sent help requests— yes i know now sending multiple was bad. i didn’t know, i was upset, it is what it is. i gave up waiting a few weeks ago and made a new blog.

well, yesterday i woke up and i was unbanned. i was so freaking happy, i had my messages back, i could comment, i could share my account with my friends. i felt like the tumblr overlords blessed me.

and then they mercilessly ripped it away from me.

i woke up again today and was going to send a message to a new mutual, and my messages tab was gone. just…gone. all over again. i don’t understand what i did, i didn’t even post yesterday, just some reblogs.

has anyone else had this happen? their account being unbanned for a hot sec and then rebanned? i’m pissed, but i’m also just genuinely disappointed. i like tumblr, it’s the only social media i can use that doesn’t make me feel like shit, and i can’t even use it properly.

i have my new account, but it’s gonna be a hassle to set everything up all over again. i’m just tired of this, does tumblr not realize how shitty this is to do to people? i know they’re understaffed, but christ, this just makes me want to stop using the app altogether.
