Can't run fx floorboard on linux because it's "outdated" :(

I downloaded it from sourceforge, and it doesn't start, says the version it outdated, and forwards me to the same page from where i downloaded it...

Any way to bypass this?

What a weird design choice btw.. I've never yet come across a program that would stop you from running it if it's an outdated version...
